Game concept

Discover dreamlike places and extravagant characters in this narrative adventure where you must survive a post-apocalyptic world without losing your dignity. Face rivals in shady catfights, lip-sync in front of the wildest audiences, and investigate to discover what lies behind this strange plague of badly made-up zombies.

Mechanics

  • Organic narrative: characters remember the player's decisions and change the dialogue and the evolution of the story. The dialogue is fast-paced and allows the player to go straight to the objective of the missions and the game, but at the same time rewards the player and makes the game easier if they have been discovering and learning more about the characters and the universe.
  • Dignity bar: The character will have a score that equates to their dignity, similar to health points. When dignity reaches zero, it will be a failure.
  • Narrative combat (Catfights): confrontations where the player must resolve issues by choosing one of the options presented. These options will increase if they discover secrets and find objects during the adventure.
  • Gossip: The characters and locations are full of clues. Chat with the characters to pry information out of them, and explore the locations to find clues, items, and new missions.
  • Items: they will help you discover new dialogues, provide support in combat or unlock new locations.
  • Character creation and customisation: players can create their own customised character. Missions and characters will offer new customisation elements.
  • Minigames: various challenges that arise during the adventure to enhance and enrich the exploration and investigation experience.

Killer Eyelashes is the latest iteration of a project that began in 2008 as a short film before expanding into a gamebook narrative in 2016. Subsequently, a board game was published in 2018 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. Throughout this time, we have created a rich, nuanced world that we want to explore further through video games, which provide us with a lot of material to expand our product offering.
